Camp Hi Sierra Summer Camp July 6-12, 2014

Posted on Jul 27 2014 - 6:30pm

Well we had 6 scouts attend with 2 adults.  This was our first time at Hi Sierra.  It's a very nice camp with a creek running thru it.  All camp sites are across the creek up on a hilly area with canvas tents.  Darth and I had to huff and puff getting up to camp every time, elevation was about 5500'.  The road in is like a freeway compared to Wolfboro.  All scouts earned anywhere from 1 to 3 merit badges and some partials.  Staff was very good and the lake was good size and offered a nice place to swim.  We had two scouts catch their very first fish and the cooked them too.  Next camp will be Fall Camp at Wolfboro in September.
